Client:Terrence M Steele
Client Issue: Microsoft Alert call this number screen. Client called and decided it that there was something fishy going on, unfortunately it was too late he let them into his machine. They installed malware and got a backdoor open on the system.
Initial Conversation: Client call us, we had him disconnect the system from the internet immediately. Client decided it was best for us to handle the issue, brought the machine to us.
Solution: We booted into safe-mode, updated Malware bytes, Super-Anti-Spyware, and CCleaner. Ran all of these. Malware bytes found 78 infections, CCleaner removed over 3 GB of Temp and junk, Super-Anti-Spyware found over 1000 cookies and bad files. Did a complete cleanup and reset to everything including windows update which was not functioning at all. Removed unnecessary programs and cleaned up desktop items. Updated all software, browsers, fixed Norton issues. Also Opened case and cleaned blew out all of the fans and case.
